JAMMU: Department of International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, successfully organized an interactive and insightful session on “Psychological Well-being and Professional Performance: Strategies for Coping with Stress and Emotional Challenges” for the students of MBA (IB) Semester I and III today at the department premises. Dr. Kapil Sharma, Public Health Expert, Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Jammu, was the resource person for the event.

Dr. Kapil Sharma highlighted the growing importance of mental health in academic and professional success and discussed evidence-based coping strategies to manage stress, emotional pressures, and psychological challenges faced by students and young professionals. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sharma emphasized practical tools for maintaining emotional balance, strengthening resilience, and enhancing overall performance in demanding academic and work environments. Students actively participated through interactions, questions, and reflective discussions, making the event highly engaging and impactful.

Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, emphasized the significance of mental well-being in the rapidly evolving professional landscape. She stated that in today’s highly competitive and demanding environment, students must be equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with emotional strength and coping abilities. Sessions like this help our students develop resilience, manage stress constructively, and build a strong foundation for future leadership roles. She further appreciated the efforts of the resource person, faculty members, and student participants for making the session meaningful and productive.
