RAJOURI: The District Administration Rajouri today marked the fifth anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA)—India’s flagship campaign against substance abuse. The event was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq. The main commemorative event was held at Amritsar, Punjab and the Rajouri district administration enthusiastically participated through a live telecast.
Launched in 2020 by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MoSJE), the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan has, over the past five years, sensitized people including youth and women. The participants at the district-level programme took a solemn Nasha Mukt pledge, reaffirming their resolve to continue the fight against the drug menace.
The ADDC reiterated the district’s commitment to a drug-free society through collaborative community efforts and ongoing sensitization drives. The administration encouraged the citizens to ensure their active participation in realizing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat—a drug-free India.
