KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today flagged off a group of farmers for an Exposure Tour to SKUAST Wadoora. The tour which was flagged off from D. C Office Complex here, aimed to provide hands-on training and awareness about the latest technologies in pruning and high-density plantation.

Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Kupwara, Sandeep Dubey and officials from Horticulture Department were present on the occasion. The programme has been organized by the Horticulture Department under the ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency) Scheme, with the objective of upgrading farmers’ technical knowledge and promoting modern horticultural practices in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of such exposure visits in enhancing farmers’ skills and productivity. He urged the participants to make the most of the training and implement the learned techniques in their orchards to improve yield and quality.
