SHOPIAN: Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), J&K Police organised a Cricket Tournament for Specially-Abled Persons at Batapora Stadium, Shopian, which commenced on 10th November 2025, concluded today with a colourful closing ceremony.

The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Shopian, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS. The specially-abled players from different regions of South Kashmir participated. The final match was played between Anantnag legends and Zaiba warriors in which Zaiba warriors emerging victorious by 8 wickets. During the final match ceremony, SSP Shopian distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up.

The event was attended by DySP Hqrs Shopian, DySP DAR Shopian, Probationary DySP along with a large number of spectators and sports enthusiasts from the district and nearby areas. J&K Police remains committed to supporting and empowering youth, assuring that more such inclusive and encouraging events will be organised in the future.
