ANANTNAG: As part of the ongoing Poshan Maah–2025, an awareness programme was organised by the Poshan (ICDS) Project Breng at Town Hall, Kokernag, today. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kokernag, Prince Kumar attended the event as the Chief Guest, while CDPO Breng, Rameez Raja, Supervisors, officials from the Health and AYUSH Departments, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and other stakeholders also participated.
In his address, the SDM commended the ICDS team for their dedicated efforts in achieving the objectives of the Poshan Abhiyaan. He emphasized the need for a proactive approach to combat malnutrition and to promote healthy eating practices within the community. The CDPO advised for incorporating local and nutritious foods into daily diets besides minimizing the consumption of processed foods particularly by children aged 0–6 years.
At the conclusion, officials and field functionaries who have performed excellently during the Poshan Maah were felicitated with Mementos. On the sidelines, zone-wise nutritional stalls were displayed to showcase the diversity of local and healthy food options and were jointly inspected by SDM and CDPO.
