SAMBA: An awareness Programme on Consumer Rights was organized today at Government Degree College Ramgarh by the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs FCS&CA) Department. The event was held under the guidance and directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ayushi Sudan and under the supervision of Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Rahul Gupta.
The initiative aimed to sensitize students and stakeholders about consumer rights, responsibilities and the importance of ethical trade practices. The speakers highlighted the pivotal role of youth in promoting consumer awareness, transparency and accountability in society. Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal, Prof. Meenu Abrol appreciated the Department’s outreach efforts and emphasized the need for hosting more such programmes to strengthen consumer education at the grassroots level.
The event concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their views on safeguarding consumer interests and ensuring fair practices in the marketplace. The programme was attended by Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO), faculty members of the College and officials and staff of the FCS&CA Department.
