- Facility offers safe day-care support to children of working mothers
KATHUA: An Anganwadi-cum-Creche Centre was inaugurated today at Ward 8 in Hiranagar Municipal area to benefit the children of working mothers. The facility was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Surinder Mohan along with District Programme Officer (DPO) Poshan Projects Mohammad Syed Khan.
In his inaugural address, the ADDC highlighted the importance of early childhood care and welcomed the initiative as a boon for working women. He said the creche will provide a safe and nurturing environment to children in absence of their parents. The DPO Poshan Projects stated that the centre will offer a child-friendly atmosphere with provision of adequate nutrition, care and pre-school learning.
CDPO Priya Lakshmi briefed the guests about the establishment of the creche and its intended benefits for local families. The efforts of Poshan Project Hiranagar were appreciated by the officers present. The programme was also attended by staff of Poshan Project Hiranagar and local residents.
