DODA: The District Cooperative Societies Doda today concluded the series of commemorative events being organised to mark the 72nd All India Cooperative Week. The week-long celebration commenced on 14th November under the national theme “Cooperatives as Vehicles for Atmanirbhar Bharat and concluded today. The event witnessed active participation from officials of the Cooperative Department, representatives of cooperative societies, farmers, youth and other local stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the significant contribution of cooperative institutions in promoting self-reliance, generating livelihood opportunities and ensuring inclusive and equitable development at the grassroots level. They also underscored the government’s continued efforts to strengthen the cooperative sector through digital reforms, transparency initiatives and capacity-building programmes.
Officers of the District Cooperative Societies encouraged greater community participation, especially of youth and farmers, in cooperative activities. They emphasized that cooperatives provide improved access to financial services, better market linkages and sustainable economic opportunities—key pillars in driving the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The event concluded with a collective commitment to further advancing the cooperative movement in Doda and enhancing its role in regional socio-economic development.
