JAMMU: The Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, organized a special awareness programme today at the University campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, research scholars, faculty members, and staff of the University of Jammu.

As part of the BSF’s ongoing initiatives to commemorate 60 years of its establishment and to strengthen civil–force relations, the programme featured a series of informative and engaging displays, including BSF Brass/Jazz Band Performance, presenting ceremonial and patriotic melodies, Weapon Display, showcasing various arms and equipment used by the BSF in safeguarding India’s borders and

BSF Trained Dog Show, demonstrating the remarkable skills, discipline, and operational capabilities of BSF canine units. The event offered the university community a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the professionalism, preparedness, and unwavering commitment of the Border Security Force.

Prof. Parkash C. Antahal, Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu, graced the occasion and expressed his sincere appreciation to the BSF for organizing this impactful and interactive programme on the campus. He acknowledged the BSF’s steadfast dedication to national security and lauded the initiative for providing students and faculty with a firsthand understanding of the force’s vital role in safeguarding the nation.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the BSF for conducting this meaningful event. He emphasized that such collaborations play a crucial role in fostering awareness, nurturing patriotism, and strengthening the relationship between civil society and security forces.
