KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today handed over 2,402 forms including 1,668 under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and 734 under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) to the Cluster Head Office of J&K Bank and other branches of J&K Bank in the district.
The forms were collected from different departments, including the Rural Development Department (RDD), Education, Labour and others through the concerted efforts of field functionaries.
The initiative aims to ensure that all employees, Job Card Holders, Building and Construction Workers and others are brought under the ambit of social security coverage in line with the government’s commitment to promote financial inclusion and social welfare.
The DC appreciated the coordinated efforts of all departments and field staff in facilitating the enrollment process and urged them to continue their efforts to achieve full saturation of such welfare schemes in the district. CPO Akhil Thakur and Anil Sharma, Manager, Cluster Office were also present on the occasion.
