BUDGAM: World Mental Health Day was observed today at Govt Boys Hr. Sec.School Budgam by DMHP Unit ASYM DH Budgam with activities aimed at raising awareness about mental health and well-being among students.
The theme for this year, “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies”, was highlighted through discussions, interactive sessions, and awareness posters displayed throughout the school.
The DMHP Unit DH Budgam gave detailed overview of Mental Health and Tele Manas Helpline.The Health Talk sessions were also conducted in OPD and Waiting areas of the Hospital.
Students participated in group activities and talks that emphasized the importance of seeking help, maintaining emotional well-being, and supporting peers during times of crisis.
The event fostered a positive environment encouraging open dialogue about mental health and promoted the significance of accessible mental health services in everyday life and emergencies. The Programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr Aijaz Kanth Medical Superintendent ASYM DH Budgam.
