UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today launched a two-month-long tobacco-free campaign organized by the Health Department here at Model Government Higher Secondary School Boys. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas; Principal Manoj Kumar; Nodal Officer NTCP Dr. Vinay Gupta; President NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do, along with staff members and students participated in the programme.
While addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the students to stay away from all forms of addiction and maintain discipline in their lives. She elaborated on the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and shared an inspiring message 'Say No to Tobacco, Say Yes to Life.'
A theme based Nukkad Natak was presented by Group Modern Dogre, effectively spreading awareness about the ill effects of tobacco and other addictions. All participants also took the âNasha Muktâ pledge, reaffirming their commitment to living a healthy and addiction-free life.
