JAMMU: Tarun Uppal, Chairperson of the Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, recently met with Member of Parliament Shri Shrirang Appa Barne in Jammu for an in-depth discussion on the social and political landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. During their meeting, Uppal highlighted opportunities for collaboration to support youth development and proposed the launch of a cultural and educational exchange programme between the youth of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) and Maharashtra.
The meeting focused on understanding the current challenges and potential pathways to empower young people in these regions. Uppal emphasized the importance of cross-cultural interaction and exposure to new ideas as a catalyst for youth growth and community integration. âBy initiating an exchange programme, we can create a platform for young people from J&K and Maharashtra to share their unique cultures, perspectives, and aspirations,â said Uppal.
MP Shrirang Appa Barne welcomed the proposal, acknowledging the positive impact such initiatives can have on fostering mutual understanding and broadening horizons among youth. Both leaders agreed that collaboration between organizations and policymakers is essential to build more inclusive and vibrant communities.
The Nirbhay Bharat Foundationâs vision to drive social change and youth engagement aligns with efforts to nurture leadership and innovation among young citizens. This discussion marks a significant step towards exploring concrete initiatives and partnerships that can make lasting contributions to society.
