NEW DELHI: IIIT Delhi welcomed an esteemed three-member delegation from the Embassy of Japan in India and Edu-Tabi. This visit marked a key moment in fostering academic collaboration between India and Japan. The discussions centred on possible partnerships within the Edu-Tabi program. This program, in turn, aims to bolster networking prospects in education.

The team of delegates included Mr. Yasuyuki Nakayama, First Secretary (Education) at the Embassy of Japan in India; Ms. Mitsuya Kaede, Manager of Edu-Tabi; and Ms. Fukaya Yuka, Coordinator at Edu-Tabi. This visit was an example of the shared commitment to building cross-border academic engagement.

The discussions during the visit focused on facilitating workshops and exchange programs for students. It also led to collaborative academic frameworks that match the global perspective of both Indian and Japanese institutions. The Edu-Tabi program has a reputation for fostering international academic mobility and cultural exchange. It is designed to strengthen educational connections between the two nations.

IIIT Delhi officials underscored the institute's commitment to innovation-led research and interdisciplinary education, and they expressed a strong desire to collaborate with Japanese universities and institutions. The discussions helped identify common ground, such as technology, data science, and emerging research areas, where collaborative work could prove fruitful.

The visit also highlighted the importance of global exposure for students and faculty alike, encouraging knowledge sharing that transcends geographical boundaries. Both parties recognised the growing significance of international collaborations in tackling complex global issues and elevating academic standards.

This involvement emphasizes a wider goal: to fortify India-Japan ties through educational and research partnerships. As universities worldwide actively pursue global alliances, these efforts foster enduring intellectual exchange, cultural appreciation, and growth driven by innovation.

The Japanese delegation's visit is anticipated to unlock fresh opportunities for cooperation, further establishing IIIT Delhi as a globally connected institution dedicated to academic excellence and international collaboration.
