KATRA: An engaging and informative session was organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University titled "Jigyasa: The Curiosity Drive". It was an open event where students from various disciplines joined to learn beyond the conventional knowledge.This session aimed to share amusing, lesser-known facts through a presentation. The presentation included facts from various fields such as nature, Science, Psychology, and the human body.

The facts were explained with the reasons behind them to make the students more curious, interested and engaged throughout the program. Students were taught around 11 facts, and were engaged in the session with interesting questions after each slide. After the explanation of facts, a small quiz of 20 questions was conducted on the various facts they had just learned.

The aim of the quiz was to check the attentiveness, curiosity and learning of the students, and to get feedback on the session to improve it for the future.The event witnessed high enthusiasm and participation throughout, which made the aim of this event successful by sparking curiosity and interest among young minds to learn new things. This wonderful session by NSS was concluded by engaging with students, getting feedback about the event, a short and quick revision of the facts, and promoting reading, learning and questioning among the bright minds and future of India.

Overall, Jigyasa: The Curiosity Drive was an engaging, illuminating, and thought-provoking event that provided students with the knowledge of fascinating and uncommon facts beyond the standard cognition through a presentation, promoting reading, learning, exploring, and questioning in their lives to learn more information about their surroundings, and spread this awareness and curiosity among their friends and family. NSS volunteer Pratibha Singh coordinated the said event with other volunteers.
