• Bharat Priye stresses relevance of Ambedkar’s ideals in present era; distributes study material and sweets among students

AKHNOOR: The JKPCC Kissan Congress today organized an impressive celebration of Dr Ambedkar Jayanti at Pargwal in Akhnoor, with Chairman Bharat Priye leading the programme and highlighting the enduring relevance of B. R. Ambedkar in the present era. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, youth, and party workers, reflecting a collective commitment to remembering and promoting the ideals of Dr Ambedkar. The programme began with floral tributes to the portrait of the great leader, followed by addresses emphasizing his contributions to the nation.

Addressing the gathering, Bharat Priye paid rich tributes to Dr Ambedkar, describing him as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a visionary reformer who dedicated his life to the upliftment of marginalized and underprivileged sections of society. He stressed that Dr Ambedkar’s principles of equality, justice, and fraternity remain the cornerstone of Indian democracy and continue to inspire generations.

He noted that in today’s rapidly changing socio-economic landscape, Dr Ambedkar’s emphasis on education, empowerment, and social harmony holds even greater significance. “His vision was not only to secure rights but also to create awareness among people about their duties and responsibilities towards building a just society,” Bharat Priye said.

Elaborating further, he highlighted that Dr Ambedkar’s contributions were not limited to drafting the Constitution but extended to shaping policies aimed at ensuring social and economic justice. He urged people, especially the youth, to imbibe his values of hard work, discipline, and determination, and to actively participate in nation-building.

Focusing on grassroots outreach, Bharat Priye said that such programmes are vital to spreading awareness about social equality and the importance of education in rural areas. He emphasized that empowering students with basic educational resources can make a meaningful difference in their lives and help them achieve their aspirations.

On the occasion, copies and pens were distributed among needy students as a gesture to encourage education and academic growth. Sweets were also distributed among participants, adding to the festive spirit and reinforcing a sense of community bonding.

Participants appreciated the initiative, stating that such celebrations not only honour the legacy of Dr Ambedkar but also serve as a platform to educate younger generations about his ideals and their relevance in modern society.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sumandeep Singh, Mandeep Singh, Badeer Singh, Swarno Devi, and Ajmer Singh.
