KATRA: Government Degree College Katra celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The celebration featured colourful campus decorations, a Rangoli Making Competition, a Diya Decoration Competition and cultural performances amid enthusiastic participation from students.
The competitions provided students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and artistic talent. First, Second and Third prizes were awarded to the winners of both competitions in recognition of their outstanding performances.
The programme was organised under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat, with the active support and coordination of the collegeâs NSS Unit, Red Ribbon Club, NCORD Unit and Sports Unit.
The Principal extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to the students and encouraged them to celebrate the festival responsibly, emphasising the importance of observing necessary safety precautions while lighting diyas and using fireworks.
Refreshments were distributed among the participating students. The faculty members also extended their warm Diwali wishes to the students and conveyed their best wishes for a happy, safe and prosperous festive season.
