The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa listened to public grievances during a grievance redressal camp at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, assuring the visiting delegations that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments and pursued for timely resolution.

J&K BJP Swachhta Abhiyan Department Convenor Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Co-convenor Er. T.K. Sharma coordinated the proceedings. Naresh Singh Jasrotia, District President, Jammu South, was also present.

Interacting with the people, Randhawa said that public service begins with listening to people's concerns and ensuring that their genuine problems receive appropriate attention. He stressed that BJP representatives remain accessible to the public throughout the year, rather than limiting their outreach to election periods. Our commitment to the people is for all 365 days of the year. These grievance camps provide a direct platform for citizens to bring their problems before their representatives, he said.

Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal said that regular grievance camps strengthen BJP's grassroots connect and provide valuable feedback about problems faced by ordinary citizens. He emphasized that identifying local issues and coordinating their follow-up with the administration were essential to effective public service.

Er. T.K. Sharma said that direct interaction with residents enables the party to understand ground realities and prioritize pressing civic concerns. He stressed that systematic coordination with concerned departments was necessary to translate public demands into concrete action.

The deputations had come from Parveen Colony, Mohalla Jamwal, Preet Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Samba, Bantalab, Patoli Brahmana, Bahu Fort, Marble Market Extension, Agra Chak, RS Pura, Smailpur.

Their grievances were related to renovation and construction of roads, lanes, drains, clearance of malba (debris), scarcity and shortage of drinking water, overloaded transformers, unscheduled power cuts, the menace of stray dogs, blacktopping of the link road, repair of the boundary wall, non-functional street lights, construction of a yatri bhawan, clearance of polythene and malba from the nallah, repair and upgrade of transformers, replacement of worn-out cables, installation of a new Mark-2 hand pump etc.
