SRINAGAR: A Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Power of Vote” was organized by the Electoral Literacy Club/ SVEEP in collaboration with the Department of Art and the NSS Units of the Government College of Education, here.

The event was organized in connection with 2nd Special Summary Revision, to aware the students in particular and the people in general to register their names in the voter list if they have reached above 18+ years of age.

A good number of students participated in the event which resulted in the collection of some innovative slogans written by the participants on their respective drawing sheets. The students were enthusiastic energetic while participating in this event keeping in view the importance of vote for a healthier democracy.

The students were also briefed by the organizing team about the   registration process for vote by means of approaching  concerned AERO/ Tehsildar/ BLO of their respective locations.

After the slogan writing competition, the students took part in a rally around the campus by displaying their concerned written slogans. The aim of the rally was to reach to the unreached/ unregistered public through recording the video of the rally and sharing it on various social media platforms.
