JAMMU: NSS Unit-5 of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Young Blood Association (YBA), today organised a Blood Donation Camp, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility.
The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director, CDOE, University of Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the significance of voluntary blood donation and emphasised that such initiatives foster compassion, social responsibility and community engagement among students and society.
Ms. Neha Jalali, Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), who was the Chief Guest, appreciated the voluntary blood donors for their selfless contribution and lauded the collaborative efforts of CDOE and the Young Blood Association in organising the humanitarian initiative.
Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam, President, Young Blood Association, appreciated the overwhelming response to the camp and observed that blood donation is one of the noblest acts of public service, capable of saving countless lives.
Sh. Anil Padha, Chairman, Young Blood Association, also highlighted the importance of blood donation as a noble humanitarian cause and appreciated the wholehearted support extended by all stakeholders.
Earlier, Dr. Rajbeer Singh Sodhi, Programme Officer, NSS Unit-5, welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, faculty members, officers, non-teaching staff, organisers, media persons and the medical team for making the camp a grand success. He observed that every unit of donated blood has the potential to save precious lives and inspire others to serve humanity.
The Blood Donation Camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from volunteers, reflecting the spirit of social commitment and community service promoted by the Centre and the Young Blood Association.
