BARAMULLA: Maintaining its relentless efforts to eliminate the drug menace, Police in Baramulla conducted a wild cannabis (bung) destruction drive in Nowpora Wagoora. The drive was carried out in coordination with local youth, whose active participation reflected the community's growing commitment towards combating drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free society. During the operation, wild cannabis plants growing in the area were identified and destroyed.

J&K Police appreciates the support and cooperation extended by the local youth and residents, whose participation remains instrumental in the collective fight against narcotics. Such community-driven initiatives reinforce the shared resolve to prevent the cultivation of narcotic plants and curb the spread of drug abuse.

J&K Police remains steadfast in its commitment to combating the drug menace through sustained awareness and enforcement measures and urges the public to continue supporting anti-drug efforts by reporting any information related to the cultivation or trafficking of narcotic substances to the nearest police station.
