UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting with Health Department officers to review the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Chief Medical Officer Udhampur Dr Anil Manhas and District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Anil Saloch presented the district's performance, covering tuberculosis detection, treatment outcomes, screening coverage, Ni-Kshay Mitra registrations and other key indicators.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Health Department to expand TB testing, strengthen diagnostic facilities and ensure timely identification and treatment of patients. He called for enhanced counselling services, greater involvement of frontline health workers in identifying suspected cases and uninterrupted follow-up. He also directed intensified awareness campaigns at the grassroots level and stronger inter-departmental coordination to achieve 100 per cent screening coverage.
