DODA: Programme Officer (Poshan), ICDS Doda Akhtar Hussain Qazi today chaired a Block-Level Monitoring Committee meeting under the TB Mukt Bharat initiative at Medical Block Ghat to strengthen TB elimination efforts.

Among those present were BMO Ghat Dr Abdul Gafoor, BDO Ghat, CDPO Doda, Liyaqat Ali Zargar (JHI), Mashhood Latif (BM&EO, NHM Ghat), Irshad Ahmed Malik (STS) and other officers and officials concerned.

The meeting deliberated on the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the Block-Level Monitoring Committee and members resolved to ensure 100% screening through Digital Chest X-rays in identified high-risk villages, wards and congregate settings through TB Shivirs and outreach activities; promote universal use of the TB Mukt Bharat App and Khushi Chatbot; ensure 100% upfront NAAT testing for all presumptive TB cases; provide differentiated, patient-centric TB care; and achieve 100% TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) coverage for all eligible individuals after ruling out active TB.

The committee also discussed micro-planning and gap identification at the village and ward levels, mobilisation of community participation through NCC and MY Bharat volunteers, strengthening awareness and logistical support during screening camps, ensuring inter-departmental convergence, conducting regular field visits with timely submission of progress reports to the District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) and addressing operational challenges in a time-bound manner.

The Chair emphasised close coordination among stakeholder departments and called for sustained efforts to achieve the campaign's objectives. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to making District Doda TB-free through effective implementation, active community participation and continuous monitoring.
