RAJOURI: In a significant step towards ensuring the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Assembly Elections, District Election Officer (DEO) Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a crucial meeting with representatives from various political parties. The meeting focused on the importance of upholding the highest ethical standards as per the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and other guidelines established by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

During the session, key discussions were held on critical issues including adherence to MCC provisions, the process for obtaining permissions for media advertisements, campaign logistics, and the timely initiation of candidate bank accounts as per the ECI's stipulations.

DEO Sharma emphasized the collective responsibility of all political stakeholders to maintain integrity, fairness, and transparency throughout the electoral process. He reiterated the pivotal role of political parties in upholding the democratic values of the nation, urging their full cooperation and strict adherence to the ECI's guidelines.

 DEO Sharma expressed confidence in the cooperation of all political parties, ensuring a conducive environment for the upcoming Assembly Elections. The meeting was attended by several distinguished officials including  ADDC Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thapa; DIO NIC, Muzaffar Mir; Deputy DEO, Shakeel Malik; and representatives from various political parties.
