• “Deputy Chief Minister Promises Swift Resolution of Employee Welfare Issues After Delegation Meeting”; Says JKHEU President

SRINAGAR: A high-level delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Employees Union (JKHEU), led by President Mohammad Suhaib Munshi—who is also the leader of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC)—met with Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Surinder Kumar Choudhary, who oversees the Industries and Commerce Department. The meeting served as a platform to discuss pivotal employee issues and included congratulations from the delegation to the Deputy Chief Minister on his recent electoral victory.

During the discussions, several critical matters concerning employee welfare were addressed. The Deputy Chief Minister assured the delegation of his commitment to promptly resolving all employee-related issues. Munshi commended the Minister's compassionate approach, referring to him as a leader with a “golden heart.” He highlighted the proactive nature of the Deputy Chief Minister, who, upon receiving the delegation's concerns, immediately instructed relevant officers to take action.

Munshi further announced that a follow-up meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister is scheduled for next week, aimed at continuing the dialogue around employee issues. “We believe in collaboration and are always ready to support the government’s initiatives,” Munshi stated, underscoring the union’s commitment to constructive engagement.

The JKHEU expresses optimism that this ongoing dialogue will lead to meaningful solutions for its members, reflecting a spirit of collaboration between the government and employees. “Together, we can create a thriving environment for our artisans and workers, ensuring their rights and welfare are prioritized,” added Munshi. The union remains hopeful that this partnership will foster an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect, paving the way for sustainable development in the handicrafts sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
