NEW DELHI: Blue Energy Motors (BEM), India’s No. 1 Green Truck Brand, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) under the Government of India’s PARIVARTAN Scheme. The scheme aims to encourage the replacement of ageing commercial vehicles with cleaner alternatives across the Delhi–National Capital Region (NCR).

The initiative marks an important step towards accelerating the transition to cleaner freight mobility in India. By incentivising the replacement of older, high-emission trucks and buses with cleaner vehicles, the scheme seeks to reduce transport-related pollution and improve air quality across the region. Through its participation in the scheme, Blue Energy Motors aims to support the wider adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks for freight and logistics operations, offering fleet operators an opportunity to transition to zero-emission vehicle technology.

Speaking on the development, Anirudh Bhuwalka, Founder and Managing Director of Blue Energy Motors, said: “The PARIVARTAN Scheme is an important step towards accelerating the transition to cleaner freight mobility in India. Our participation reflects Blue Energy Motors’ commitment to supporting the Government’s vision for sustainable transportation and enabling the wider adoption of electric heavy-duty trucks. We believe that the right policy support, coupled with advanced technology and a strong domestic manufacturing ecosystem, can play a pivotal role in accelerating India’s transition towards zero-emission freight transportation.”

Blue Energy Motors is advancing green freight mobility through its electric and LNG-powered heavy-duty truck solutions. With more than 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks operating across key freight routes in India, the company has crossed 150 million green kilometres on Indian roads, helping to reduce more than 44,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions—equivalent to the carbon absorption of approximately 1.8 million trees.

As India continues to strengthen its efforts towards cleaner commercial transportation, initiatives such as PARIVARTAN provide an opportunity to bring together policy support, vehicle technology and industry participation to accelerate the adoption of cleaner freight solutions. Blue Energy Motors looks forward to contributing to this transition through its electric heavy-duty truck technology and continued focus on sustainable freight mobility.
