JAMMU:  The Department of English at Central University Jammu hosted a remarkable and interactive event at the Brigadier Rajinder Singh, MVC Auditorium. Under the visionary leadership of honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, and stewardship of Registrar Prof. Yashwant Singh, and Dean of Students’ Welfare Prof. Ritu Bakshi, the department brought together the Alumni Meet and Freshers’ Party into a single, vibrant celebration.

With the invaluable support and guidance of Dr. K. Rajesh, Head of the Department of English, and Prof. Vandana Sharma, Dean of the School of Languages, the event was meticulously planned to ensure an engaging and inclusive experience. Coordinated by Dr. Neena Gupta Vij and Dr. Parveen Kumari, the event fostered a strong sense of continuity within the department, connecting past and present students in a lively, welcoming environment. Alumni shared their experiences and insights, while the freshers were warmly embraced into the academic community. The day featured interactive sessions, exciting activities, and inspiring talks, making it a memorable and enriching occasion for all attendees.

Alumni members provided valuable insights into their professional journeys, offering advice and motivation to freshers who eagerly participated by asking questions and engaging in lively discussions. The activities and games organized for the day further encouraged interaction between the attendees, creating a joyful and dynamic environment. The event concluded with the distribution of mementos to alumni recognizing their contribution and participation in this special occasion.

The unique combination of the Alumni Meet and Freshers' Party made the day a resounding success, blending nostalgia with the excitement of new beginnings and leaving everyone with lasting memories. This innovative approach by the department not only enriched the sense of community but also ensured that the event was both fun and productive, bridging the gap between past and present students in a meaningful way.
