BARAMULLA: As part of its ongoing drive to enforce traffic regulations and ensure road safety, J&K Police seized three tractors during a checking drive at Kongamdara Baramulla after they were found plying without valid documents.

The vehicles bearing the following registration/chassis details were seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act: 1. JK01AS-6936, 2. Chassis No. WYCA61618117524 & 3. JK05F-9436.

The action underscores Police’s commitment to ensuring strict compliance with traffic regulations and preventing the operation of undocumented vehicles on public roads. Police urges all vehicle owners and drivers to carry valid vehicle documents and comply with traffic rules to ensure road safety and avoid legal action.

For me, he will always be the elder brother who believed in me and guided me with affection. I will cherish his kindness and lessons forever. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
