In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

RAJOURI: In a major initiative aimed at addressing the grievances of the veterans at their doorstep, the Zila Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) successfully conducted a comprehensive Physical Outreach Programme today at the Ex-Servicemen Cell, Kalidhar Integrated Complex, Sunderbani.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, drawing a massive gathering of Ex-Servicemen (ESM), Veer Naris, widows and their dependents from Sunderbani and its adjoining areas.

The primary objective of the outreach was to resolve long-standing issues and provide spot guidance regarding pension anomalies, SPARSH migration, ECHS benefits, documentation corrections and various central and state welfare schemes. Dedicated desks were set up to systematically hear out individual grievances and guide veterans on various issues.

Adding significant value to the initiative, the officials from District Employment Office, Rajouri also actively participated in the programme. Officials conducted a specialized employment awareness session, educating the dependents of ex-servicemen and young veterans about diverse job opportunities, skill development pathways and self-employment schemes tailored for them.

Speaking at the event, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Rajouri reiterated the District Administration, Rajouri and Sainik Welfare Department's unwavering commitment to the well-being of those who served the nation. The visiting veterans and families expressed deep gratitude to the District Administration & ZSWO Rajouri for organizing the grievance redressal camp locally, saving them from traveling long distances to the main district headquarters.
