In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: In view of the prevailing circumstances and concerns over confusion and conflicts of interest within the book trade, Ruchi Chouhan Khan, President of the Jammu Book Suppliers Association, has announced the dissolution of the association’s existing body with effect from October 12, 2026, for an indefinite period.

In her statement, Khan said the decision had been taken in view of the prevailing situation in the book trade. She added that a new team would be constituted after due deliberations and consultations with all relevant stakeholders.

The move is aimed at addressing the concerns arising within the trade and ensuring that the formation of the new body takes place through a consultative process, taking into account the interests and views of stakeholders. Khan emphasised that the constitution of the new team would follow proper deliberations and consultations before a final decision is taken.
