In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting of senior officers at the Rail Head Complex, Jammu, to review progress under the AgriStack initiative, with particular focus on Khasra data entry, verification and approvals, Farmer ID generation and the Digital Crop Survey.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division, the State Informatics Officer, NIC-JK, Assistant Commissioners Revenue (ACRs) and other concerned officers through physical and virtual modes.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed district-wise progress and assessed the status of pending entries, verification, approvals and Farmer ID generation. Deputy Commissioners and other officers apprised him of the progress achieved in their respective districts.

The meeting was informed that several districts have achieved substantial progress in AgriStack data entry. Reviewing Farmer ID generation, the Divisional Commissioner stressed the need to accelerate registration, particularly in districts with substantial pendency.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers to intensify field-level efforts, organise registration camps at farmers’ places of domicile and mobilise personnel from the Revenue, Agriculture, Horticulture and other concerned departments to expedite Farmer ID generation. He stressed that individual targets must be assigned to field functionaries to ensure measurable progress and accountability.

Emphasising accountability and close monitoring, the Div Com directed the Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners Revenue to undertake a detailed village-wise analysis of pending cases.

The Divisional Commissioner further directed daily monitoring of progress and called for effective inter-departmental coordination and regular follow-ups. The officers were directed to adhere to the prescribed timelines for completing pending AgriStack entries, verification and approvals, while simultaneously accelerating Farmer ID generation.
