The Minister further asked the officers to maintain transparency in power schedules and ensure timely communication to public regarding outages or disruptions. ā€œPower supply is a basic necessity, especially during winters and we need to address issues related to it promptly,ā€ Sakeena asserted.

Taking note of frequent breakdown of transformers during peak load hours, Sakeena Itoo instructed the officers to maintain adequate buffer stock of transformers and other essential equipments to handle exigencies. ā€œEstablish a swift replacement and repair mechanism for transformers to minimise disruptions and mitigate impact of power failures, particularly in rural and remote areasā€, Sakeena maintained.
