HYDERABAD: Gusti Noria, President of The Hyderabad Public School (HPS) Society, today extended heartfelt congratulations to distinguished alumnus Shailesh Jejurikar (Class of 1984) on his election as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Procter & Gamble Company (effective 1 January 2026). Jejurikar, currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will become the first HPS alumnus and the first India-born executive to lead the 187-year-old consumer-goods giant.
The Hyderabad Public School Society (HPSS), which manages four prestigious institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in Begumpet, Ramanthapur, Warangal, and Kadapa, takes immense pride in celebrating the achievements of its distinguished alumni. HPS Begumpet, where Mr. Jejurikar studied, continues to produce leaders who make a significant impact on the world stage.
“Shailesh exemplifies the HPS spirit of leadership, integrity, and global citizenship,” said Gusti Noria, President, HPS Society. “As Head Boy in 1984, he led with empathy, excelled academically, competed on the cricket field, and earned the admiration of teachers and peers alike. It is no surprise that the same character and grit have now propelled him to the pinnacle of one of the world’s most respected corporations. The entire HPS family is immensely proud.”
Mr Noria added, “Shailesh now joins a soaring cohort of HPS Eagles making an indelible global impact – Satya Nadella (Microsoft), Shantanu Narayen (Adobe), Prem Watsa (Fairfax Financial), and Ajay Banga (World Bank), among others. Their collective success underscores the transformative power of an HPS education and its emphasis on curiosity, compassion, and courage.”
Shailesh Jejurikar, CEO–Elect of Procter & Gamble, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hyderabad Public School (HPS) community, stating, “I am truly grateful to the Hyderabad Public School community for their warm wishes and heartfelt congratulations. He said his time at Hyderabad Public School has played a vital role in shaping his personal and professional journey. The nurturing environment, dedicated faculty, and supportive peers left a lasting impact. The lessons I learned and friendships I formed continue to guide me, and I carry those memories with me as I begin this new chapter, looking forward to the opportunity to serve people around the world.”
