NEW DELHI: A delegation from the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS – NaMo Kendra) met Dr. (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), to discuss academic collaboration, research engagement, and the role of universities in nation-building.

During the meeting, the CNMS team shared details of its ongoing initiatives, including its recent and upcoming publications, research projects, and academic dialogues focused on policy, leadership, and national development. The discussion reflected a shared interest in fostering a deeper connection between research-based think tanks and the higher education system.

Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS, stated,  “The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies is working with the vision of ‘Nation First,’ and we are committed to promoting academic research and policy thinking that supports "Rashtranirman" and "Viksit Bharat". Our interaction with AIU was both meaningful and forward-looking.”

He further added,  “We believe that collaboration between CNMS and AIU can create impactful academic opportunities—whether through joint seminars, research fellowships, or curriculum-based studies that engage youth and universities in the process of national development.”

Dr. Pankaj Mittal appreciated the Centre’s academic focus. She emphasized the need for partnerships that bring together the strengths of research organisations and educational institutions to support India’s progress in education, innovation, and capacity building. The delegation was led by CNMS Chairman Prof. Jasim Mohammad, accompanied by CNMS Advisory Council Member Mr. Jawaid Rehmani.

During the meeting, CNMS formally requested the Secretary General of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Dr. Pankaj Mittal, to consider signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CNMS. Dr. Mittal appreciated the initiative and responded positively. She encouraged CNMS to share the draft MoU, assuring that it would be reviewed by the concerned committee.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing willingness to work together on knowledge-based initiatives that contribute to India's evolving academic and policy ecosystem.
