- Swami Ram Swarup Ji explains Vedic truth of creation, one supreme God, origin of universe and eternal cosmic order at Ved Mandir Yol
YOL (KANGRA): During the ongoing 78-day Vedic yajna of the four Vedas at Ved Mandir, Yol, Swami Ram Swarup Ji, Yogacharya, delivered a deeply spiritual discourse based on Vedic scriptures, explaining the eternal and everlasting truth of creation, the oneness of God, and the divine order governing the universe.
Addressing devotees, Swami Ram Swarup Ji reiterated vide atharvaveda mantra 13/4(2)/16-21 that the Supreme Being is only One, beyond any numerical division. Quoting Vedic mantras, he explained that God is neither two, three, four, nor any number, emphasizing the eternal and everlasting truth stated as āSa eva ekaā and āEka eva,ā meaning that God alone exists as the absolute reality.
He further explained that all innumerable elements of creation like sun, moon, earth etc., exist within the Supreme Being, these non-alive matters are functioning as per the rules and regulations of the creator and creator being omnipresent, due to the presence of almighty God within them. Swamiji highlighted that the creation of the universe, including time, day, night, etc., is known only through eternal and everlasting Vedic wisdom originated in the heart of four rishis at the time of beginning of creation.
Swami Ji elaborated vide Rigved mantras 2/12/1,2,...... that sun is also created by almighty God who (God) is described as the āsun of sunsā. As quoted above God creates the sun and bestows radiance/light. Without almighty God, Swamiji said, natural processes such as rainfall, electricity, and the functioning of the universe would not be possible. He emphasized that the entire cosmic system operates under divine intelligence and order.
Referring to the Rigveda mantra 10/10/6 Swamiji explained that the process of creation was not known at the beginning of and became understood only through Vedic revelation. He added that true understanding of the universe arises only when humanity studies and comprehends Vedic knowledge given by God to four rishis (refers Rigved mantra 10/181/1).
Citing teachings from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Swami Ji referred to Shloka 3/15, explaining that the Vedas originate from the imperishable Supreme Being and that yajna is eternally established by God. He further explained the cycle described in Gita Shloka 3/14, where all beings depend on food, food depends on rain and rain depends on yajnaāthus forming a divine cycle essential for sustaining life on earth.
Swamiji emphasized that without the sun there would be no rain, without rain there would be no food, and without food no living beings could survive. Swami Ji remarked that modern society often lacks awareness of this divine scientific order and the role of God in sustaining creation. Concluding his discourse, Swami Ram Swarup Ji said that true knowledge of God and creation can only be attained through Vedic wisdom made understood by Rishi-munis; which reveals the eternal truth of life, nature, and the universe. That is why, Guru Nanak Sahib had preached without the realisation of God everyone experiences sorrows based on their karmas.
