Party leaders visit residence of Ankush Dogra in Jammu

JAMMU: Apni Party’s Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has condoled the demise of Smt. Anita Dogra, mother of Party leader Ankush Dogra’s mother. In a condolence message, he extended his grief and sorrow on the untimely demise of Smt. Anita Dogra’s demise, who passed away due to illness.

“I extend my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul, and courage to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Party leaders led by Provincial President, Jammu, S. Manjit Singh along with State President, Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, General Secretary Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya, Jammu District Vice President, Vaibhav Mattoo and others visited the residence of Ankush Dogra to express their solidarity with the bereaved family members.

When he appointed me Editor-in-Chief of JK Monitor, he never treated me as an employee, but as a younger brother, offering warmth, trust, respect and invaluable guidance. I will always be grateful for his faith in me, his encouragement and the lessons he shared.

Dr. Ranjan was a rare and noble soul—humble, compassionate, intellectually brilliant and always willing to help others. A visionary thinker, he believed in using knowledge and abilities to make a meaningful difference. His influence lives on through the people he guided, the work he inspired and the countless lives he touched.

For me, he will always be the elder brother who believed in me and guided me with affection. I will cherish his kindness and lessons forever. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
