DODA: To promote road safety, the Assistant Regional Transport Office Team Doda, in collaboration with the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), conducted a Road Safety Awareness Program at Prem Nagar, here today. The event forms part of the district’s ongoing initiative to raise awareness about safe driving practices and reduce road accidents.

The programme aimed to educate the local community on the importance of road safety, emphasizing adherence to traffic rules, the use of seat belts and helmets, and the dangers of distracted driving. Through interactive sessions, the team shared essential tips for accident prevention, targeting both new and seasoned drivers. The collaboration with NHIDCL further highlighted the role of infrastructure in enhancing road safety.

Key officials from the ARTO Doda office addressed the audience, underscoring the impact of responsible driving on community well-being and public safety. They encouraged attendees to practice safe driving habits, respect traffic laws, and remain vigilant on the roads. By engaging directly with residents, the event aimed to create a lasting awareness of the importance of road safety measures.

This awareness programme is part of Doda’s broader initiative to foster a safer travel environment. The district plans to conduct similar events across different areas, reinforcing its commitment to public safety and educating the community about responsible road usage.
