SRINAGAR:  In order to bridge the gap between Police & public, Police in Handwara facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at Police Station Handwara. The meeting was chaired by SDPO Handwara and was attended by all the Numberdars, Chowkidars and respectable citizens, etc.

On the occasion, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured by the chairing officer that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. The participants were stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law & order and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.

The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social crimes and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
