• BJP gears up for major agitation against NC Govt's failures in Kashmir

SRINAGAR: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, along with Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma, chaired a series of meetings of BJP state office bearers, district presidents and Morcha office bearers at the party office in Srinagar to review organizational preparedness and finalize the roadmap for upcoming political and public outreach programmes.

J&K BJP General Secretaries Mohammad Anwar Khan, and Gopal Mahajan, former MLC Sofi Yousuf, and other senior party leaders participated in the meetings. Sat Sharma, while addressing the meetings, stressed on the strong organizational principles, discipline and commitment of the cadre in whole of Jammu & Kashmir, who are dedicated to serving the nation, and society from the core of their heart.

Sat Sharma launched a scathing attack on the National Conference government. He said that it has utterly failed to provide responsive governance and has betrayed the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. "The NC government has remained busy in political theatrics while neglecting public welfare, development, employment, infrastructure and basic civic services. It has repeatedly ignored the sentiments of the people of Jammu as well as Kashmir and has failed to provide a clear direction for the future of the Union Territory," he said.

Sat Sharma said that the BJP would not allow the "visionless and deceptive" government to continue misleading the people. He said that the BJP will raise the voice of every citizen, whether in Jammu or Kashmir, and expose the anti-people policies and administrative failures of the NC government through a series of strong public movements and mass contact programmes.

Sunil Sharma said the BJP, as the principal opposition, has consistently highlighted every issue affecting the people both inside and outside the Assembly. He said the party would launch strong protests across Jammu & Kashmir to protect the rights of the people and hold the NC government accountable for its failures, misgovernance and unfulfilled promises. BJP will ensure that every section of society gets a strong voice against the government's anti-people policies, he said.

Sunil Sharma called the party leaders to prepare for an intensified political campaign to safeguard the interests and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Mohammad Anwar Khan emphasized that the party organization in Kashmir is expanding steadily and directed office bearers to intensify grassroots outreach by connecting with every household, exposing the failures of the NC government and communicating the developmental vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Gopal Mahajan asked party workers to ensure effective implementation of all upcoming organizational programmes, strengthen booth-level networks and remain actively engaged with public issues. He said the BJP's growing organizational strength would translate into a stronger people's movement against the failures of the NC government across Jammu & Kashmir.
