JAMMU: The BJP Human Rights Cell, Jammu & Kashmir, strongly condemns the brutal atrocities, suppression, and indiscriminate use of force by the Pakistani forces and administration against innocent civilians residing in Pakistan Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK), stated Advocate Sarfraz Hamid Rather, Co-Convenor, BJP Human Rights Cell, J&K.

Advocate Sarfraz stressed that POJK is an integral part of India, illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947, and the people residing there are citizens of India. The continued oppression, intimidation, unlawful detentions, and use of excessive force against the people of POJK by the Pakistani establishment constitute a grave violation of human rights, democratic principles, and international norms.

The BJP Human Rights Cell expresses serious concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in the illegally occupied territories and the systematic denial of fundamental freedoms to the people living there. The residents of POJK are being deprived of their basic rights, including freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and the right to live with dignity and security.

It is highly unfortunate that Pakistan, continues to unleash repression and brutality upon the people living in the territories under its illegal occupation. The voices of the people demanding justice, development, and democratic rights are being silenced through coercion and state-sponsored force.

The BJP Human Rights Cell stands firmly with our brothers and sisters in POJK and reiterates that the sufferings of the people of the illegally occupied Indian territory cannot be ignored by the international community. We urge global human rights organizations and democratic nations to take serious note of these violations and hold Pakistan accountable for its actions. The Cell demands an immediate end to the atrocities against civilians, release of all unlawfully detained persons, and restoration of democratic and human rights in POJK.
