BUDGAM: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khansahib, Jahangir Ahmad Giri, today conducted an extensive tour of Shia-dominated villages across the Khansahib Sub-Division to review the progress of ongoing Muharram-related arrangements.
Accompanied by officers from various line departments, including the Health Department, the SDM inspected the status of essential works and reviewed the preparedness of departments to ensure the smooth observance of Muharram.
During the visit, he directed the concerned officers to expedite all ongoing works and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe. He also instructed field functionaries of all departments to remain available on the ground and ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential services during the Muharram period. The SDM emphasized coordinated efforts among all departments to facilitate the smooth, safe and peaceful observance of Muharram across the sub-division.
