JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir BJP State General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the Narendra Modi-led government has established a new model of governance based on the principle of “Justice to All, Appeasement to None,” ensuring equal opportunities, dignity, and development for every section of society. He was addressing the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Convention organized at the BJP headquarters by the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Morcha under the leadership of its State President, Ch. Abdul Ghani.

Billawaria said that during the last twelve years, the Modi Government has worked with dedication and commitment for the welfare, empowerment, and socio-economic upliftment of the Scheduled Tribes across the country. He said that several historic initiatives have been launched to ensure that tribal communities receive the benefits of education, healthcare, housing, employment, and infrastructure development. In Jammu and Kashmir the STs have been provided political representation in assembly.

Highlighting the government's commitment towards tribal welfare, Billawaria said that schemes aimed at improving road connectivity, drinking water facilities, educational opportunities, and livelihood generation have brought significant changes in the lives of tribal families. He added that the government has ensured that welfare benefits reach the deserving beneficiaries without discrimination or political considerations.

The BJP leader said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation has witnessed inclusive growth where every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or region, is treated equally. He emphasized that the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” can only be achieved through the participation and progress of all communities, including the Scheduled Tribes.

ST Morcha State President Ch. Abdul Ghani, who convened the convention, said that the Scheduled Tribe communities across the country have witnessed unprecedented attention and empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Modi Government has ensured that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society, particularly those living in remote and tribal areas. Abdul Ghani emphasized that initiatives related to education, healthcare, housing, skill development, and livelihood generation have significantly improved the quality of life of tribal families. He urged party workers to take the achievements and welfare programmes of the government to every household and strengthen public participation in the mission of building a Viksit Bharat.

The convention was also addressed by BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, ST Morcha Vice President Ch. Askar Ali, Morcha Office Secretary Ch. Gulzar Jatt, Samba District President Ch. Mohd Sharief, Akhnoor District President Ch. Gafoor, and Jammu North District President Ch. Mushtaq Bakerwal.
