SRINAGAR: Shri Chander Prakash Ganga, Member of Legislative Assembly from Vijaypur called on Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha today. He discussed various development issues and public welfare initiatives concerning Samba district. He also highlighted the need to expedite developmental works in the Purmandal block.

Shri Tarun Singla, Chairman, Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) and President, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, today. Shri Singla projected various issues of the industrial sector and also discussed important matters pertaining to sustainable industrial growth in the Union Territory.

Thakur Darshan Kumar, Member of Legislative Assembly from Basohli called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, today and submitted a concept note for establishment of the Indian School of Pahari Paintings at Basohli in District Kathua.

A delegation from Frisal Kulgam led by Shri Anayat-Ullah Rather, former Member, District Development Council called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha and projected various development issues of Frisal and Qaimoh blocks in Kulgam district.

Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Maharaj, Peethadheesh, Shri Nath Peeth, Shri Devnath Math today met the Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhavan. He was accompanied by Shri Suresh Haware, Member, Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board, and members of Shri Devnath Math.

When he appointed me Editor-in-Chief of JK Monitor, he never treated me as an employee, but as a younger brother, offering warmth, trust, respect and invaluable guidance. I will always be grateful for his faith in me, his encouragement and the lessons he shared.

Dr. Ranjan was a rare and noble soul—humble, compassionate, intellectually brilliant and always willing to help others. A visionary thinker, he believed in using knowledge and abilities to make a meaningful difference. His influence lives on through the people he guided, the work he inspired and the countless lives he touched.

For me, he will always be the elder brother who believed in me and guided me with affection. I will cherish his kindness and lessons forever. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

We at JK Monitor are profoundly saddened by the sudden demise of our Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan. IN LOVING MEMORY Dr Priya Ranjan

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
