RAMBAN: A live streaming programme was organised today at the office of Chief Agriculture Officer Ramban, among other venues across the district, to mark the release of the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Tarakeswar in Hooghly district, West Bengal. The live streaming enabled farmers and field functionaries across the district to follow the national event and stay informed about initiatives for the welfare of the farming community.

Among those present were Chief Agriculture Officer Ramban Dr Vinay Kumar Jandial, District Agriculture Officer Ramban Kuldeep Bassan and PM-KISAN Incharge Natwar Singh along with officers, officials, representatives of Kisan Khidmat Ghars and farmers from different parts of the district.

During the programme, farmers were apprised of the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme and advised to complete Aadhaar seeding, e-KYC verification and updation of bank account details to ensure seamless transfer of benefits. Participants were also informed about agricultural development programmes and farmer welfare schemes being implemented in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the CAO and other speakers said PM-KISAN provides timely financial assistance to farmers and called for ensuring all eligible beneficiaries are covered under the scheme. The programme concluded with an interactive session during which farmers raised queries related to PM-KISAN and other agricultural schemes, with officers assuring continued support.
