• Sacred soil from Seer Govardhanpur, Varanasi distributed to various districts

JAMMU: J&K BJP organized a Kalash Vandan and Sacred Kalash Distribution Programme at Guru Ravidas Mandir, Rajpura, under the ongoing Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan. Sacred Kalash carrying holy soil brought from the birthplace of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji at Seer Govardhanpur, Varanasi, were worshipped and distributed to different districts.

The programme was led by J&K BJP President & Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, accompanied by General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, and Abhiyan Incharge & General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria. Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan, Rekha Mahajan and Rashpaul Verma, MLAs Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Yudhvir Sethi, Mohan Lal Bhagat and Sunil Bhardwaj, besides senior party leaders, were also present.

Sat Sharma, addressing on the occasion, said Guru Ravidas Ji belongs to the entire humanity and not to any particular community. His ideals of equality, dignity, fraternity and social justice continue to inspire people across the world. Referring to Guru Ji's vision of Begampura, he said it represents a society where every individual enjoys equal opportunity and lives without discrimination or enmity. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisioned an India that reflects these very ideals by the centenary of Independence, where society lives in complete harmony and remains free from every social evil. He asserted that the BJP is committed to taking Guru Ravidas Ji's message to every household.

Ashok Koul said the Kalash carrying sacred soil from Varanasi will be taken to Guru Ravidas temples and other prominent temples in every district before being distributed to all Mandals. Thereafter, Samrasta Yatra and Samrasta Sampark Abhiyan will be conducted across Jammu & Kashmir to strengthen social harmony.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said Guru Ravidas Ji's teachings transcend all social and geographical boundaries and continue to unite society through compassion, equality and selfless service. He said the Modi government has consistently honoured India's great saints and their timeless legacy.

Dr. Nirmal Singh said Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji's teachings remain as relevant today as they were centuries ago, providing the moral foundation for an equitable and harmonious society. He stressed on translating the ideals of saints like Guru Ravidas Ji into meaningful social transformation.

Baldev Singh Billawaria said the Abhiyan is designed to transform Guru Ravidas Ji's teachings into a mass social movement. Every district, Mandal and booth-level worker will actively participate in carrying the sacred message of Samrasta to every section of society.
