BANDIPORA: As part of the District Administration Bandipora's ongoing initiative, envisioned under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, students from Government Higher Secondary School Quilmuqam visited the Waqar Knowledge Centre at the Mini Secretariat, Bandipora, on Thursday. The exposure visit aimed to enhance students' understanding of government schemes, career opportunities, and citizen-centric welfare initiatives.

The programme was attended by ICDS Programme Officer, Yaar Ali Khan, Knowledge Centre officials, and escort teachers, who interacted with the students throughout the session.

During the visit, resource persons introduced the students to the various desks functioning within the Knowledge Centre and explained the services, government programmes, career guidance facilities, and public welfare initiatives offered through each section. They also highlighted the vision of the Knowledge Centre as a comprehensive platform that empowers youth through information, guidance, and access to opportunities across different government departments.

Students were acquainted with a wide range of services, with special emphasis on career counselling, youth empowerment, skill development, welfare programmes, and other government support systems. The interactive session helped them understand the role of the Knowledge Centre as a one-stop destination for learning, guidance, and public awareness.

The students participated enthusiastically, engaged in meaningful discussions, and raised thoughtful questions to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities available to them.

Addressing the gathering, the ICDS Programme Officer encouraged the students to remain informed about government initiatives, make well-planned career decisions, and actively utilise platforms like the Waqar Knowledge Centre for continuous learning, skill enhancement, and personal development.

The exposure visit offered students valuable firsthand insight into various government services, welfare programmes, and career pathways, reaffirming the District Administration Bandipora's commitment to empowering young people through awareness, education, and meaningful engagement.
