SRINAGAR: In view of the ongoing summer break for students in both the divisions of the J&K, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K has issued a comprehensive advisory for students, emphasizing their physical and mental well-being. The advisory encourages students to utilize the holiday period for relaxation while also engaging in productive and health-conscious activities. Key recommendations include:

1. Incorporating sports, aerobics, stretching, dancing, or any fitness activity into daily routines.

2. Maintaining proper hydration by drinking adequate water throughout the day.

3. Consuming a balanced diet rich in nutrients.

4. Eating seasonal fruits and preserving seeds for monsoon sowing.

5. Maintaining a personal diary or notebook to record daily activities.

The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has urged Physical Education Lecturers, Masters, and Teachers to actively support students in adopting a healthy lifestyle. Joint Directors of both the divisions and District Youth Services and Sports Officers have been directed to oversee the implementation of these guidelines.

ā€œThe advisory is issued considering the holistic development of children and youth, ensuring they remain active, creative, and mindful of their well-being even during academic breaksā€. said Anuradha Gupta Director General of the Department.
