SRINAGAR: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Cultural Unit Srinagar of the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Zadibal, organized an awareness programme focused on the perils of drug addiction. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking short play performed by a group of local artists, who dramatically showcased the devastating impact of substance abuse on youth and society.

The performance received an overwhelming response, with students deeply moved and inspired, many expressing eagerness for more such meaningful engagements. Ishrat, Principal of the institution, emphasized the need for collective community efforts in guiding the younger generation. Burhan Hussain, Cultural Officer Srinagar, delivered an insightful address, highlighting the transformative power of theatre and cultural expression in raising awareness and shaping public attitudes. The programme concluded with a solemn pledge by students, staff, and officials to stand firmly against drug abuse and contribute actively to building a healthier, addiction-free society.
