JAMMU: Continuing its mission of serving society through healthcare initiatives, Social Activist and Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, successfully organized the 107th Free Eye Screening & General Health Check-Up Camp at Shri Dwaraka Nath Shastri Samadhi Sthal, Sohanjana, Jammu.

The camp was organized in collaboration with Dr. K.D. Multispeciality Hospital, Jammu, under the expert guidance of Dr. J.P. Singh. During the camp, more than 118 patients availed themselves of free eye screening, general health check-ups, medical consultations, and essential healthcare services. Patients requiring further treatment were also guided appropriately by the medical team.

The initiative received an overwhelming response from the local residents, who appreciated the efforts of Samvedna Society and the medical professionals for bringing quality healthcare services to their doorstep.

Speaking on the occasion, Keshav Chopra, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Shri Gangadhar Ji Maharaj for his constant support, guidance, and cooperation in making the camp a grand success,"I sincerely thank Shri Gangadhar Ji Maharaj for his invaluable support and blessings, which have been instrumental in the successful organization of this health camp. Samvedna Society remains committed to serving humanity through such initiatives.

We will continue to organize more free eye screening and health check-up camps in the future so that the maximum number of people can benefit from these services and receive timely medical care," said Keshav Chopra.

The Locals also acknowledged the dedicated team of doctors, paramedical staff, volunteers, and members of Samvedna Society for their tireless efforts in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the camp.

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
