RAMGARH: A massive fire broke out in the wheat crops spread over 20 acres in Majra village, Panchayat Nanga, under Ramgarh Tehsil. The incident caused significant damage to the standing crops, creating distress among the local farming community.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education, J&K, promptly visited the affected site to assess the situation firsthand. He interacted with the villagers and assured them of full support and necessary assistance from the administration.

Accompanying him during the visit were Tehsildar Ramgarh Abhimanyu Kalsotra JKAS, Akhilesh Kumar Assistant Commandant, BSF Post Majra, Ramgarh, Former BDC Chairman Darshan Singh, SHO Ramgarh Vijay Verma, and Mandal President Ramgarh Nancy Choudhary.

During the visit, local residents also raised the issue of damaged electric infrastructure in Panchayat Nanga and demanded its urgent repair and replacement. Dr. Manyal assured the residents that their concerns would be addressed promptly and necessary action would be taken.

The local administration, along with security forces, responded swiftly to control the situation. Despite the extensive damage, the villagers remained resilient and demanded fair compensation and infrastructural improvements in the upcoming budget provisions. The administration has initiated an assessment of the losses, and further steps will be taken to ensure timely relief to the affected farmers.
